Waitrose has taken a number of measures to protect both customers and staff during the coronavirus outbreak. It is asking customers to only bring one person to shop and wear an eye mask or scarf. In every store, there are also hand sanitisers. Waitrose offers the Volunteer's Card for customers who self-isolate that allows family and friends to pick up orders on behalf of the customer.
